About Our School Established in 1995, Colonel Shepard maintains a small student body, so each child receives a lot of individual attention. The student to teacher ratio is approximately 11 to 1. Each staff member is carefully chosen for his or her skill, education, professionalism, and of course, kindness. All are certified Montessori teachers.
